Empty Street

Standing alone
On a dark, empty street
Either I’ve gone insane
Or I’m sleeping so sweet
For, there’s no other way
For this empty street
To be empty
If I’m standing here
Standing alone
On a dark, empty street
Either I’ve gone insane
Or I’m sleeping so sweet
For, there’s no other way
For this empty street
To be empty
If I’m standing here

Dear J. T. Carlton,
I am curious about the image of the person with the umbrella walking down the street.
It looks like a familiar place but I can not quite place it.

Sam Sutlive.

You know, I actually have no idea. I found this image a few years back, and I’ve always loved the way it makes me feel. Sorry I couldn’t be more help!

Dear J.T. Carlton,
That is okay. I was curious because I like it, and because it seemed like it was a photograph that was photoshoped or digitally manipulated. It is nice either way though.

Sam Sutlive.

The poem stands alone just fine, but this image is a perfect pairing.
